Tis the holiday season is drawing near and New Roads kicks off a weekend of holiday shopping at it’s annual Holiday Market at the Mill November 20-22, at the historic The Mill located three blocks north of Main Street, at 311 Mill Street.
Holiday Market at the Mill gives shoppers the opportunity to find quality gifts from vendors and companies across the south all in one location. “There is a certain kind of ambience about Holiday Market at the Mill,” says Mayor Dukes. “Everyone look forward to shopping for one of a kind items and taking in the beautiful scenery that New Roads offers.”
This year’s shopping exposition includes a variety of vendors and artisans selling antiques, pottery, woodworking, crafts, artwork, food, clothing, and much more. “We anticipate Holiday Market at the Mill to be a boost to our local economy and small businesses,”exclaims Mayor Dukes.”I hope this year’s event gives small businesses the opportunity to re-engerize during the holiday season after such hardship during the pandemic.”
The event will be set up to provide a safe and clean shopping experience. The wide open floorplan of The Mill boast approximately 50,000 sq ft providing ample space for social distancing. Face mask are encouraged and and washing stations will also be available around the event.
Market hours are Friday, November 20, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, November 21, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, November 22, 11a.m.-4 p.m.This will be an entry fee of $5 for one day general admission and $10 for weekend pass.
