New Roads Main Street is a historic downtown area focused on revitalizing its historic commercial district through the state and national Main Street programs. It is known for its shopping, dining, cultural and historic buildings, and views of the False River, a nearby oxbow lake. The district hosts numerous festivals and events, such as "Wine Down on False River," "Boo & Brew," and the "New Roads Car Show."
